I'd heard plenty of good things about them, but never quite got around to getting any of their stuff - now I'm hooked!!
I first thought Muse were Radiohead wannabes. They're great in their own right I actually caught myself air-guitaring to Black Holes and Revelations the other day at the gym, which I'm sure was slightly disturbing to those watching.

Echo & The Bunnymen - my other near-miss. I could've been saved from the likes of Vanilla Ice and Debbie Gibson had I been evolved enough to appreciate them in the '80s Another seriously great band, and one I instantly loved. They kind of fit like a favourite pair of socks.

Tom Waits. Practically any song by him. He's amazing.

Ohhhh man, gotta agree here, too. The Orphans 3-CD set he released last year was AMAZING.

I felt horrible when I found out he wrote Downtown Train. Every time I even vaguely like a Rod Stewart song, I should know he didn't write it

Ray LaMontagne is my pick for this list. His albums were all I listened to for about ten days when I first bought them.

in theory, with the exception of the street dogs, i could probably say i wish i'd discovered every single band/artist i like sooner.

mostly springsteen and the stones. i'm inclined to say u2, as well, because it would have been nice to have been able to see them on tour before they began to suck.

I love you!

I did pretty much the same thing to Ark´s "it takes a fool to remain sane"
at my gym (with my friend´s tennis racket).

They don´t want me there anymore.

Jeff Buckley. Discovered him after he died. A bit too late...

Same here, I only started liking them when Bomb came out, and now I'd give anything(ish) to have gone to one of their PopMart shows, even though I'd have been 7, pfffft, details
