They won't even make it to the Conference Final, so I'm not worried.

consideirng how bad the eastern conference is, i don't see how a revitalized miami wouldn't make the conference finals.

Celtics, with Paul Pierce hitting 4 buzzer beaters and Ryan Gomes averaging 25 points and 14 rebounds (If Doc plays this kid all year he might have a shot at ROTY)

I'm just comfortably sitting in my belief that good teams can't tank it for the first 2/3 of the season and do well in the playoffs. The basketball gods wouldn't allow it.

Oh wait, that's what we have done the last two seasons.

Crap.

The way he's been playing shows that 4 years of college might not be a bad idea afterall.

well... i'm not so sure if the heat have been a complete tank job. they had so many new parts, including a new coach, that it was going to take a while for everyone to get used to playing with each other.

shaq, on the other hand, has been on pure coast mode all season. frankly i think shaq coasting through the regular season is the only chance they have to win the NBA title. the heat obviously assume, and i would have to agree, that if Shaq was Shaq last spring, Miami would have had a much easier time getting through the eastern conference last year. so by letting him coast through much of the regular season, they're hoping to have a healthy shaq come May. and a healthy shaq has always dismantled ben wallace. it'll be interesting to see if it works.

From a strategic standpoint, it's brilliant to have Shaq coast for the first 2/3 of the season. If you're in a crappy division and you know you won't be challenged for the #2 spot, it makes total sense.

I just hope that for the sake of basketball he doesn't get rewarded for it. The regular seaso is already boring enough. We don't need people following his example.

And dang it if I'm gonna be in China before the Conference Finals. I guess we'll see how global the NBA really is.

well shaq's body is breaking down to the point where he really can only play a quarter of a season at a high level.

and it's not like he's the first to do it.

If the Rockets were playing, you'd see it in China, the Pissed-ons, I doubt it.

That's exactly what I'm afraid of. It'll be like last year when I didn't have cable and missed the first two rounds. Freakin' TNT.

Hey Headache, enjoying the latest in the Marbury/LB fued? It's worse right now than it's ever been.

The Knicks are a disaster.

Oh yes absolutely, i'm sorry, i was wrong.
I rewatched the final this week for the first time, i had a completely different memory of it, i didn't realize that Americans didn't want to kill the show too early.
Sorry, shame on me.
