Hi Tim! Great to see you!

I am happy because my bestfriend is getting married, I'm happy because my other bestfriend is back from Hawaii and is working with me so I get to see him everyday, I am happy because I feel this will be a year of great and positive changes for all, I'm happy because I'm on my second coffee and man do I coffee, and I'm happy to be at work. I love my job! I'm also happy because I can't stop thinking about that JT show that I saw over the weekend---boy were they awesome. And last but not least, I'm happy because U2 tours this year.

I am more than ready for this U2 tour. It's going to be such a spiritual release for me.
Cool! Congratulations on all your friend stuff

I was surprised to find out how cool U2 cover bands can be. I saw the Unforgettable Fire in the NYC area a couple of times and it was a lot of fun.
The lead singer had a similar timbre to Bono's even if he lacked the range. It was fun to hear him repeat some of the speeches that Bono had done in Under A Blood Red Sky. "This is not a rebel song..."
This tour should be quite epic for me in a personal way. If things go well, I'll be able to meet some of you along the tour route which will make a lot of this much sweeter.
Relationships are already stronger than they were during PopMart where I met some great U2 fans along the way. And we're still several months away from the tour.
I can credit the Octagon for much of that, and the nature of the Interference bulletin board which is much better than Wire could technologically be so long ago.
Tour annoucements sometime this month...

I can't wait to meet some fellow Interferencers either! I love this place, this morning I found an old friend in the Gatherings section that I haven't spoken to in 3 years! Wow, I am still in awe. The last memory I had of her was for a St. Patty's Day party singing Angel of Harlem...I just found out that she has a picture of that moment on her website!!! How cool is that?

That was my first time drinking scotch!

*downs scotch and clears throat*

It was a cold and wet December day
When we touched the ground at JFK
Snow was melting on the ground
On BLS I heard the sound
Of an angel
(sounds very nervous and stiff)
New York, like a Christmas tree
Tonight this city belongs to me
Angel
(still a little nervous but more confident)
Soul love
This love won't let me go
So long
Angel of Harlem
(Does a Billie Holiday/Diana Ross inspired dance move)

Birdland on fifty-three
The street sounds like a symphony
We got John Coltrane and a love supreme
Miles, and she's got to be an angel

Lady Day got diamond eyes
She sees the truth behind the lies
Angel

Soul love
This love won't let me go
So long
Angel of Harlem
Angel of Harlem

She says it's heart
Heart and soul...
Yeah, yeah...(yeah)
Yeah, yeah...(right now)
(Does Mariah carey/Christina Aguilera hand gestures, coupled with dance moves and a bellydance--Bellydance!? Now you know the scotch has truly hit me...)

Blue light on the avenue
God knows they got to you
An empty glass, the lady sings
Eyes swollen like a bee sting
Blinded you lost your way
Through the side streets and the alleyway
Like a star exploding in the night
Falling to the city in broad daylight
An angel in Devil's shoes
Salvation in the blues
You never looked like an angel
(Does a 3-60 turn and points to Timmy who sits nearby laughing his a$$ off)
Yeah, yeah
Angel of Harlem

Angel
Angel of Harlem
Angel

Falls down laughing yet strangely happy because she has sung her theme song!

Holy crap! I just sang my theme song!

Takes a

You're too kind (no really b/c if you had really heard me sing I wouldn't have been allowed to continue singing!)

I do however sound great in the shower. Now if only I could take bathroom acoustics with me wherever I go that would be fantastic...but only the acoustics!

somehow stars I'm not surprised that you would know or have a beer bong - I seem to remember a three story one at the pike house at Mizzou - it really isn't something you forget
congrats Tara! - Sorry about the lack of iPod - any apple stores near you?
