What makes me a bit aggravated with school is getting the books. Don't we pay enough for tuition!? Jeez louise. I'm only taking three classes and I practically paid half my rent on these books....

Ok *cough* end of

You guys are just so sweet!

The prices on books are just insane! It's a major rip, since half the time new editions come out and they only pay you a couple bucks to buy the old ones back.

When I bought my books yesterday, I had one of the store workers help me find an algebra book... I almost ripped his head off... I'm like "Are you kidding me? 118 for this book!!! What the hell" He looked a bit scared...

Today I had 2 out of 40 beds open for ICU patients - I fought most of the day with MDs who wanted one of those beds for idiotic reasons - only to have to give one of the beds to a MD because he complained that his patient needed a unit be b/c they were "old" two patients became 1:1 (one RN one Patient - that sick - very very ill) dealt with staffing to find another RN to cover that patient and at 1900 when I was supposed to leave we had a code so I had to pick the healthiest ICU patient and send them out to the floor to get the code that promtly became a 1:1 patient. I sat down maybe 2 times in 15 hours and had only a snickers and multiple diet cokes in that time
rant over

the worst part of all this - I actually enjoyed it - absolutely love my job

the point of the story - once you get into your job - if you enjoy the job the stress really isn't that bad
