My parents - take down their tree on New Year's Day or soon after

My house - has a plastic tree with the fiberoptics (I'm afraid to think of what the cats would do to a real one). I tossed it back into Melissa's room before New Year's.

Have you guys ever wondered what a weird word "yuletide" is and do you know where it comes from?

I took mine down a few days after Christmas. We just had a fibre optic one, so it was easy!

One year we didn't get around to taking it down until mid February!

And another year I just put it straight in the cupboard of the spare room decorations and all, so that the next year all we had to do was drag it a few metres and it was up! lol

Would never get away with doing that now that the kids are old enough to know better though! lol
