I also find it harder and harder to be patriotic in this country the way we act

for me it's annoying cause if you go out and do anything there's always some loud mouth idiot yelling stuff like "this is the day when we kicked the bloody brits out"

And morons like that are the kind of people who make me embarrassed to be an American. The kind of guy who flys a flag from his truck. The kind of guy who thinks all foreigners are bad, evil people. The kind of guy who would write a song with a line such as, oh I don't know, "we'll put a boot in your ass, it's the American way." Basically, your average country music fan.

And, brother, we've got a lot of those in Texas.
