My older sister who was about 5 at the time wanted to name me Janice

My mom suggested naming me Renee after my dad, thank god he shot that down, what's funny is that I think the middle name they chose to use was Chantale, and my oldest/longest friend's name was Chantale Renee, so we always thought that meant something, not to mention it was just plain weird/creepy.

In the end I can't imagine having another name. Mostly because I don't hear it very often.

I have heard that it is an irish name, but i don't know if that's right. Casey can be either a boy or a girls name, at least in the US, i don't know about other places.

I don't know how that happened either - maybe it's the Finnish blood

If I was a boy my parents were going to call me Max

My mad step-aunt sent my mum a card when she was pregnant with me. Among the names she suggested were........

Olga

and...............drumroll...............

Medusa

thank god my mum has more sense than the mad aunt

I was going to be Daniel until my Grandad stepped in and registered my name as Kurt (he's Norwegian) I have no idea why he did that, but I think Its rather cool that I have a unique name (in England anyway)

If I would have been a boy, I would have been Travis.

The other choice my mom had was Meryl, after Meryl Streep. Apparently, after I was born my mom thought, "ok, she's definately not a Meryl". Phew, so says I Kristina is so much better.

They were always going to call me Carly.

If I were a boy, they had 2 names in mind:
1) Ian
2) Greg.
