So who has seen this and made sense of it? I really think I'm gonna have to go see it a second time, I'm having a hard time wrapping my brain around what really and truly happened in chronological order

Samuel L Jackson does not actually die.
Dunbar is really Pike.
Harry Connick Jr and the guy from Wings are bad guys.

I'm wondering why the gay guy had to be poisoned. And how did he know about Super 8?

The movie is filled with false flashbacks.

It would have been better is it had one LAST flashback with what really happened.

I?ll have to go back about 8 movies (I see a lot) to remember the plot.

The guy who died knew about super 8, because everybody had heard about super 8.
Some thought they were rouge, corrupt drug dealers (their cover, right?)

Hope this helps, I liked the movie. Many will not, because it is not east to follow and a neat and clean plot.

Hmmm, I thought the colonel did that for some reason, I dunno.....

But I agree, one last true flashback would have been helpful
