yeah, no one likes Pierzynski.

I feel bad for that rookie pitcher that Ozzie went nuts on.

At least none of them will start outside of Contreras.

i would imagine contrears would start... he's really one of only 3 guys who deserve it at this point, along with halladay and mussina... maybe toss in schilling as a sentimental choice. santana's got great numbers but he's only 6-4

webb or penny will propbably get the nod in the NL... pedro's got a shot if he picks up a few more wins this month.

i think last night's white sox rangers game showed us two things... opponents reeeeally really hate a.j. pierzynski, and ozzie guillen is an absolute douchebag.
If a manager wants to plunk a batter in retaliation, he has to do it *before* the umpire issues the official warning. Otherwise he's just going to get himself and his pitcher ejected. fined and/or suspended. Wait until the next series.

If Contreras wins another game or two and is still perfect, he definitely starts. I don't see Ozzie not doing that, unless he falters in the next few weeks. Then you could make an argument for Halladay.

Mussina and Schilling are having solid years and will be All-Stars, but they haven't been as dominant.

As for the NL, will Pedro even go? He tends to skip out on it. I think Webb is the starter there regardless.

Roger Clemens has already been pencilled in as the NL starter.

And when I mentioned Jered Weaver 2 months ago someone here called him a "mediocre prospect." Um, I'd say he's doing pretty well.

Yeah but you'd need 3 more of him to be considered for a trade for Manny.
Plus his brother looked good very early in his career in Motown, turned out he was a mediocre pitcher. Methinks Jered will follow family history into mediocrity. By August.

KC got its 7th road win of the year last night at the Big A.
