to get things rolling, I'm making a rock and roll CD.
I don't want pretty or 'uplifting' songs...I want rock and roll in it's most primal and raw form.
Stuff to really get me angry
or
stuff to just rock out to

come on

anyone can post a Mixed Tape idea...like
simply list the title and we'll all try and think of songs
it sounded like a good idea in my head
but so was bringing the radio into the bathtub

------------------------------------
rock and roll is bloody

1. The Constantines - Nighttime/Anytime (It's Alright)

sinners & saints - marquee lights

that song is good for rocking out. if you want honest rock n roll, the whole sinners & saints 'the sky is falling' album is full of it. unfortunatly it's only 9 songs...

Some A's:

At the Drive-In - 'Arcarsenal'
...And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead - 'It Was There That I Saw You'
AFI - 'Malleus Maleficarum'
Alkaline Trio - 'All On Black'
Audioslave - 'Show Me How To Live'

street dogs - when it ends

a break-up song the way break-up songs should sound. none of this 'waaaaah she left me' crap.

...And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead...man you're going to make me cry. i've got a guestlist spot through the radio station to see them, and i can't get out of having to work that night.

I go excited when I read the title of the thread "mix tape". I thought that I was the only one who made mixed tapes, then I read the contents of the Journal and realized that you're making a CD :(

However, I will offer some suggestions. I am not sure what kind of music you like but this is what I added onto my last mix tape comp.

Mad World - Tears For Fears
The Killing Moon - Echo and The Bunnymen
The Milky Way - The Church
Love Will Tear Us Apart - Joy Division
Original sin- INXS
Hungry Like a Wolf - Duran Duran
Head over Heels - Tears For Fears
I want to be adored - Stone Roses
Listen like Theives - INXS

You're my hero...nobody got that. DD is one of my favorite movies, I guess you can say that I am obsessed with it. Not to mention good soundtrack as well :p

When are we doing that Interference CD exchange again? I have the best idea [nobody can steal it though]: Covers!
