The Interference Texas Hold 'Em Thread

So, I've been playing for about a year and I absolutely love this game. It measures character, courage and all around intelligence. Poker is great!

So post anything you have to say about right here. I found a pretty cool site with lots of videos:

http://youtubepoker.blogspot.com/

So, what chips do you guys use? Who's your favorite player? Mine is Negreanu because of his amazing ability to read other players.

I think sunglasses at the table are bogus.

And I want a game like Gus Hansen's.

while i have no problem with poker, and do partake on a semi-regular basis myself... i wish they would take poker off of espn. it is not a sport.

I think it is a lot more than gambling though. It does require skill. Why do you think it's pretty much the same guys who win all those tournaments?

I love watching poker on any channel.

How about using this thread to discuss Texas Hold 'Em, and if you wish to start a new thread to debate on which activities are considered sport or not, start a new thread.

fair enough... but even espn themselves do not consider it to be a sport, it is a skilled game of leisure... they show it because it gets ratings. and i do believe the thread would get more hits if it were in the regular lemonade stand as opposed to the sports forum. but, alas, i'm done.

Greg Raymer is class. I'd hate to play against him, he looks so difficult to read.

I remember that time in the WSOP where this guy was calling his friends because he was glad he had Daniel Negreanu right next to him. A couple of hands later the guy is all frustrated because he's losing all his hands against Daniel.
