The hard part for me is whether I make a brand new concept or whether I use Part III of Aotearoa: Rugged Individual (which is nearly complete). As I fear this mini-tournament is the direction the game in general is heading, I may just submit Part III.

I'm starting to get some confidence in my playlist now. Of the 17 artists chosen for it, 11 were not on my DI3 playlist, which is good, but the best part is the atmosphere of it. It was intended as the soundtrack to an imaginary espionage psycho-sexual drama (with a little comedy thrown in) I was working on, so it's all pretty dark. Dark and intense, but playful enough that it should be fun. You all know me too well to expect me to put something together without it being a little tongue in cheek.

I already feel like a jackass for using the same Radiohead track as you. But dang, three Radiohead-related songs? That's just not fair.

I tried not using them, but they fit perfectly with what I'm trying to do.

Any Jonny Greenwood fan who hasn't heard the Bodysong soundtrack needs to right now. It's all instrumental, mainly Kid A/Amnesiac inspired stuff with some jazz and string arrangements. I can't get enough of it.

I have A Different Kind of Blue as the penultimate track. The First Time is stuck in there, too, for good measure.

I'm also close to using that badass song from Kill Bill in there, too.
