hey I was thinking we should come up with some kind of playlist for the best songs of 2003. A cd length playlist, that is.

how could we come to an agreement on something like that?

a)we could all put two songs each up and then when we have our list compiled we could all listen to them individually and vote on them somehow

but that sounds like it could get complicated.

how could we have an interference playlist for 2003?

we need complicated database scripts.

or, failing that, everyone just let me do it

i vote to have skeek choose. or at least skeek can choose a list for me because he always has interesting new recommendations.

way to go bassy. :|

let us see what you got skeek

what about you post a list, we discuss it to see if any should be added or removed, and boom bodda bing

God! I hate nightshifts

if interference is like the UN, then skeek is definetely the US.

off the top of my head, it should include:

Lamb - Please
Moloko - Forever More
Broken Social Scene - Stars and Sons
Shins - Saint Simon / Turn A Square
RJD2 - True Confessions
Notwist - Consequence / Pick Up The Phone
Radiohead - Wolf at the Door
Outkast - Hey Ya
Plump DJs - Creep Show
Slovo - Killing Me
The Postal Service - Such Great Heights
Basement Jaxx - Lucky Star
Hybrid - True To Form

I think most of those were put on in 2003 in at least one country

BEND TO ME (feeble) WILL!!! MUUAAHHAHAHAA

i don't think i got the crazy laugh quite good enough to be a tyrant. damn.

I'm downloading some right now SkeeKster. I just may add your site to my 'favorites' list.

Man, I wasnt all that impressed by the 'One with Freaks' song I had downloaded long ago, this 'Pick Up the Phone' song is fantastic though! Going to listen to 'Consequence' now.

That Talib Kweli song you have on the site is great too

I think there should be something from M83 and M Ward

M83 - Unrecorded or Run Into Flowers
M. Ward - Outta my Head or Vincent O'Brien

Other possible contenders?

Sufjan Stevens - Romulus (selected 'song of the year' by NPR)
Grandaddy - Now It's on

I ordered M Ward because of you, Bassy. It is rushing through the days and nights on its way to me.

I pillaged Basstraps soulseek files yesterday,,,,,muhahahahah!!!

Skeek, nice site, I agree on pick up the phone, my fave on that notwist album.....

others
Cat Power- he war
Wrens- Happy
MMJ- One big holiday
Muse- Apocalypse please
Death Cab for Cutie- Expo 86

I would, of course, recommend one of Placebo's 2003 singles. The Bitter End would be a good choice. :)

My soulseek is working again, but I can't pillage anyone's files on here. :( I get an error on SkeeK's, and Basstrap's says no files shared.

Losers.

I got to add you to my userlist...I thought I did!

My username is americanenglish now, because it's the only one that's worked for more than five minutes in past week or so. Anyway, I messaged you on there, so hopefully we can do some mutual pillaging now. ;)
