Just saw them last night in Temple Bar Music Centre. Small venue for them to be playing yes but given that Boys and Girls in America is their first album to be released here it was great to see it sold out. What an amazingly good live band. They opened with Stuck Between Stations - excellent - and in the first half hour had stormed through Chips Ahoy, Hot Soft Light, and You Can Make Him Like You. Craig Finn is a great lyricist and a fantastic front man. (Even if he looks a bit like Elvis Costello gone rock). I'm on a run of really good live gigs at the moment (Arcade Fire up next on Monday) and this has been one of the highlights.

Anyone else seen them live?

Best band in the world, no contest. Amazing in concert, too.

I'm really glad that you attended and enjoyed. I am going through serious Hold Steady withdrawal, these days. If they don't tour Japan at some point in the very near future, I may stage a mini-riot of one kind or another.
