The Gunshy

Anyone heard of The Gunshy???
Some really good stuff...some sad, some uplifting.
The Gunshy is basically a guy named Matt Arbogast who tours the country constantly in a little hatchback. He records his albums with other musicians (guitars, bass, drums, piano, horns etc.) He's got two full length albums out "No Man's Blues" and his latest "Souls". I can't get some of this stuff out of my head - it's that good. Not recommended for people who are too happy go lucky. You've got to have a little sadness going on to fully appreciate it. Check out his website for free downloads and a tour schedule www.thegunshy.com

"Tom Waits with strep throat" - that's hilarious.
My personal favorite Gunshy tunes are...
Your Favorite Dylan Song (from the album No Man's Blues)
Reason To Retreat (No Man's Blues)
Last Songs (from the album Souls)
Souls (Souls)
Mistaken (No Man's Blues)
Let There Be No Mournful Tears (Souls)
$ 4 Pabst (Souls)
What Will They Speak Of Me When I'm Gone (ep)

I'm actually going on the road with Matt starting this Sunday - were driving to Toronto via Winnipeg...finally a road trip. It's been years. Can't wait. Give him a listen if you can.
