A heart-rending love story Ormus. I enjoyed it too. Rushdie managed to include so many references to pop culture.
Someone here yesterday said they are reading it at the moment.
**cass leaves a box of tissues**
wait till you read the bit where Ormus sings the title song....go lightly ;(
Someone here also said a movie version is in the pipes. I wonder who will play your namesake and the young Vina? She has to be sassy
I figured a film had to be in the works, especially since I had an idea for adapting it into a film. My ideas are never left for me to actually fulfill them. Some executive is always there to steal my spotlight...
Thats odd! My post disappeared. Anyways, I am reading it currently (and I get to use it for my English ISP too!
)
Anyways, I have two options for how to use it
a) Compare it and another book. I would have to find a theme/style similarity that is common enough to write an essay about.
OR
b) Do research on a subject in the book that affects the plot to a good extent. For this I was thinking of doing something on earthquakes, since they are used in the book many times, literally as well as metaphorically
