springsteen Tonight's Kansas City show has been cancelled due to a death in Bruce's immediate family. All tickets will be refunded at point of purchase.

oh not at all....it's all online. It already knew my places of employment. It even gave me the last date and amount I received unemployment over 5 years ago. My dad sat with me while I did it because I always get so overwhelmed with all the options that I can't read anything so he just told me what to click and where.

Just got something today about 401k and I swear aside from the #'s it is a foreign language. Dad gets to look it over tomorrow.

I keep forgetting that I have to now look for a job :| I need a few days to come to terms with this one. There's nothing on craigslist or my school's website. School only updates on Fridays so I'll check back at the end of the week. I do check craigslist all the time so I'll apply when I find something but in terms of searching or cold calling, I just am not there yet. I just finished up that BS a few months ago and now I have to do it again. Hasn't sunk in yet.

So in order to keep myself busy the next few days I have to bake for a small breakfast for my mom's work. Just 6-8 people but I want to make a small basket of breakfast pastries so I'll do that tomorrow. I also want to get to the cake decorating store so I can price out stuff I'd need to make some holiday pies to sell to a few people. Then on Wed I told my great aunt that it's my day off :| so my sis and I will go to lunch with her. I really just want to see my grandpa's part of the house. The last time I was there happens to be my very first day of work at my job as that was also the estate sale weekend/irish fest weekend. So I went to work, the sale, then to my friend's house to make our way to WI. Not even 2 1/2 months ago. Anyways my great aunt had the place completely redone inside...carpet, wallpaper down, paint....all stuff that was there for years and years so I'm just really curious to see it. I can only see it as my grandma and grandpa's house so it will be interesting to see it with white walls and light carpet.

I'm really pissed this couldn't have happened a month from now when insurance would have kicked in. I NEED to go to my allergist so bad. It's about $200 to go without insurance (had to last year and my resort insurance only covered me in AZ) which isn't bad because I can pay it off monthly but it's the drug portion. It's expensive with insurance so it's impossible without. I have to go to my allergist in order to see the nose specialist to get my nose cauterized. Guess I just have to keep using my sprays and gels and hope that everything heals itself. Even though they're both specialists the nose dr office only takes referrals probably just to make sure you actually need to be there. :angry: I'm so annoyed over this whole thing I could just throw up. :angry:

I have always been curious to see the inside of my grandparents former home. Mom and I considered going in one time when it was up for sale......we chickened out.
Insurance or the lack of it freaks me out. I am a big help aren't I? Sorry.
Hopefully your sprays and gels will work.

I think I am out of here for the night. Head is getting worse again. Thankfully I am off tomorrow.

Oh and it apparently was a 34 yr. old roadie. Immediate family covers crew members. Something very sweet about that.
 
I lied. Just as I was logging off Twitter this popped up

Bruce Springsteen canceled a concert in Kansas City tonight after his cousin, Lenny Sullivan, was found dead in his hotel room -- a source close to the band tells TMZ.

Springsteen announced the death on his official website, saying it was a "death in the family."

We're told Sullivan worked for Springsteen for 10 years as an assistant tour manager.

Cops and paramedics responded to the hotel where Bruce and the band were staying at around 4:15 PM. Sullivan was found dead in the hotel and circumstances are currently under investigation.

I have such a sinus headache right now. I waited too long to take drugs and now it won't go away. I hate this time of year! I always have sinus headaches and achy bones.
 
think I'm going to wait until Thursday to do my mom's breakfast stuff so it'll be fresh for Friday. I'm going to make chocolate chip/orange scones, blueberry muffins, cinnamin twists, and apple turnovers. Besides the apples and one other ingredient, I actually have every single item in the house so this will be a really easy and cheap thing for her to bring. She asked for 1 thing but that's just so not my style. She needs a variety in a basket! Can't wait! I'm going to go to the cake store tomorrow instead of baking. Maybe they'll have some fancy muffin papers I can use. :drool:

I wish I could just do this in my own bakery. Life would be so much easier! My brother wants to do the business end, my friend desperately wants to be the front of house manager and probably also sell crafty crap that she makes there (whatever brings in money), and I'll do the baking. If only we had a zillion $$$ and could find an area in town that needs a bakery...
 
I watch househunters on HGTV all the time and one thing I've noticed lately is all the women, no matter the demographics, all are looking for a place to do scrapbooking while the men just want a "man cave." So annoying! I didn't realize that scrapbooking required a separate room. How many pictures could one take that they need to have physical album of them with elaborate pages? I'll never understand that hobby. Seems like a huge waste of money unless it's for a special occassion like a wedding or a new baby. The term man cave annoys the crap out of me. I don't get it. I love the show because I love seeing the inside of different houses but I can't stand some of the idiots they have on!
 
:drool: so I'm pretty sure my friend is going to go to at least the 1st half of my U2 trip in June. She just has to check something out first. :hyper: I emailed her my itinerary for the entire 6 days so hopefully she will be able to make it to both shows. I'm so excited they're touring again but I'm really annoyed with myself that I renewed on U2.com. I could have easily gotten GA's here in a few months for facevalue but I got the link about the new shows and found my way following it to the renew option/pay for renewal. I know the membership comes with stuff but I still wish I would have waited. Now I feel like I obligated myself to buy tickets this week with my presale code instead of waiting a few months.
 
My headache is gone. Woke up w/ it just about to move to other side and quickly gobbled a pill. It caught it.

I haven't renewed my membership, yet. I certainly understand feeling obligated. I think that is why I haven't renewed. I like the *safety* of knowing I can get tickets before everyone else.
 
I took a Personal Day on Sunday so I was supposed to get 2 days off during the week anyway. I am not out anything, the extra day would have been nice but there is no way I would have made it w/out losing it w/ a co-worker or customer.

sucks that you're not feeling good on your day off but at least it's a day off and you didn't have to call in.
 
:shifty: 1 GA for Oakland purchased! I really hope my friend decides she can go with me. I know she's 99% in for Denver a few days before so it would be awesome if she can do both. We just talked a few weeks ago about going on a trip together this spring, which is when I said let's go to Denver for my bday. She said Denver or SF so this would just work out perfect if she could do both. :drool:

Trying to do something productive. Just back from running a couple errands and I gotta say the sun is not my friend today. Either is motion. Headache is back :|

Would love to close my eyes and nap but I did that all day yesterday and I feel like I have to do something productive.

Just for the record, some of the people in the Bruce forum are :coocoo: A man's relative died. He owes you nothing except money back for your tickets. It was your choice to travel to see him. I can understand the disappointment, first hand (U2/Hawaii #1 concert) ). Bruce's family comes first. End of story.
