Aw. And it's just as well - that little guy's a real cutie!

he's precious, e2u - especially in that little jumper. We had a golden retriever for 16 years who was of the exact same temperment. It was a sad day when she passed on.
I thought you weren't so keen on cats?

R.I.P. Maceo

we had to put her down, it was the hardest thing in the world.

Sorry to hear that DMP. I know how hard it is to let go of your pets.:(

it was a couple years ago, people watched in the parking lot as this tattooed, mohawked dude with his eyeliner running down his face was sobbing like a baby. She was the shit though, she gave high fives, and when I didnt wake up in the morning, she plopped her belly down on my face to wake me up. she had this great collar called " punk rock princess". It was sparkly pink with spikes, I lived near melrose in LA, and I could not get down the street with all the people wanting to pet her.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....that just tugs at my heart. The puppy pics are SO adorable! I thought she had a sweater on but it was her coat and markings! But you have great memories.....keep those in your heart. Pets are so awesome!

I don't even like to think about the times I've had to let go of pets in my life but the last one, our mut Lady we'd adopted at the pound was the most loveable laid back dog....she used to let our son ride her and lay all over her. She slept under Nick's crib and I swear Nick used that dog as a "walker" when he started to walk! She knew she was ill when it was her time.....I wept and sobbed and it seemed like she kept trying to console ME....I couldn't let go of her when my Ex came to take her to the vet (I couldn't do it). I stayed slumped in the same sobbing heap in the hallway until I guess I ran out of tears....and this is weird but about the exact time she took her last breath (my son and Ex holding her, the vet was so wonderful-even sent me a sympathy card!) I felt this bizarre calm come over me. I knew it was Lady's message that she was out of discomfort and it was ok.

Dammit...get me the kleenex now!
