i'm afraid their self-titled album, and indeed their only release to date is a masterpiece.

making my way through the wet, depressing streets of bratislava yesterday i couldn't have asked for a better companion than this album on my ipod.

i loved it when it first came out, but it still seems to get better with every listen.

initially songs like herculean and a soldier's tale were standouts that hogged most of my time, but of late this particular song has been playing non-stop...

everything damon albarn touches turns to gold.

cheers to my favourite singer in the world.

Their live EP on iTunes is worth getting.

History Song is my favorite, and the Frank Black cover rocks, too.

agreed, the good the bad and the queen are really solid.

for me the standout is Herculean, and also the closing (title) track.

I like Blur a whole lot more but I like this band. Are they still around? Are they good live? Damon Albarn is great live with Blur, so I assume they are. :)

Wow, I was just listening to 'the kingdom of doom' before seeing this thread
I think they're great - maybe not too original as they have that very 'british' sound, but I still think they're different from alot of the indie stuff that's around at the moment.
