The End of the Olsen Twins in Sight...

http://movies.yahoo.com/movies/featu...oxofficea.html

Quote:
Mary-Kate and Ashley's comedy "New York Minute," a major test of the direct-to-video starlets' theatrical prowess as they near age 18, debuted in fourth place with $6.2 million - a weak showing compared to the popularity of other recent teen comedies like "13 Going on 30" and "Mean Girls."

...

"New York Minute" failed to build an older teen following on top of the Olsens' core fan base of very young children. About 80 percent of the tickets went to girls under the age of 11, said Dan Fellman, head of distribution for Warner Bros., which released the comedy.
They annoy me.

They have monkey faces. They have always looked like little monchichis to me.

the END of the olsen twins?

i doubt it.

i have a ten year old daughter who adores the twins. and quite frankly, all of the bashing and suggestive talk about their impending adulthood is embarrassing. not to mention inappropriate. so their movie didn't do so well, so what? there are worse role models out there for young women. more power to them, i say.

twin bashing.

I hope their movie does better so the one with the brown hair can afford some food.

Oh I agree with the suggestive talk about their "impending adulthood" as well. It's disgusting.

They still annoy me, though, and probably more due to how idiots respond to them with all that pornography talk.

hmmmmmm, I cant believe that they are 18, wow!!! I remember that show Full House and I gotta say that in the history of television that has to be one of the worst, sugary-sweet sit coms ever, it seriously makes me want to throw up

I dont think that they should be role models too a nation of young girls, again two more anorexic looking women, to give even more young girls a complex about being fat. I know, I know a bit harsh, but it just annoys me that so many women are sooo thin, when is society ever going to change!!!!

I remember being forced to sit through numerous episodes of 'Two of a Kind' (did I get that name right?) when I was an exchange student...my host family's daughter had some sort of obsession with that show!

The one in the pink/purple dress in those pictures is so thin it's just wrong. I thought that ultra skinny look had gone out of fashion. Or maybe that was just wishful thinking.

Agreed thrice.

Given the situation, the title of their flop is somewhat amusing... and true.

I feel lesser for having said something.

i too agree the hubba-hubba countdown is creepy. i know people who've got countdowns going on and have images saying how many days until they're 18. given their squeaky clean image, i highly doubt they'll pose nude or do anything like that, which is what all these geeky guys are hoping for.
