I bought this album today blissfully unaware that I was buying a hardcore album

but I was a good boy and I listened to it all...after the incessantly pounding drums numb your senses it is actually not a bad album.

yes, the screaming will grate on you...but there is a difference between DEP and most hardcore.
They make an effort to include dynamics and structure, melodies and meaning

Sunshine the Werewolf may be one of the best songs of the year

just don't go into it expecting the beatles

and be expecting to hate it

I hate it in my own way...but I like it in another way.
My theory is that every genre has an example of good music...even hardcore...and DEP is that example
