one of the finest bands, and one of the most versatile bands as well

robert smith is an extremely underrated songwriter and guitarist with albums like Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me, Pornography and Disintegration to stack it right up there amongst some of the finest albums i listened to from opener to closing track

what smith does hiding behind his powdered white makeup is a stark contrast from the fact he bares his soul

the thing that sometimes gets me is the fact the mainstream public have the false belief they are a 'happy band' with the hits that get regular airplay on radio in The Love Cats, Inbetween Days, Friday Im In Love, Mint Car, Just Like Heaven, Why Cant I Be You

although i do admit i love playing the Greatest Hits album on a bright sunny day when i go for a drive

oh and one more thing, the title track for the Disintegration album is one intense song, especially the third verse

its a shame you cant post polls anymore otherwise i'd put a poll for favourite song by them

I love The Cure man!!! The only bands better are U2 and Gn'R. Robert Smith is a lyrical genius(the best in my opinion). The way he writes combined with "his" music is almost drug like. It just takes you away into a dream world. Amazing. My favorite Cure song may be a litle cliche but I do love Just Like Heaven. I also love Trust, Closedown, A night Like This, Last day of Summer, Cold. Shit I could go on forever. I'm torn between Wish and Bloodflowers for my favorite Cure album. Though Show(not technically an album) is the one with the best running order from start to finnish in my opinion.
