for some reason this band has never done much for me...

i would love to hear from any the cure-fans what makes this band so great.

I downloaded one of their better-rated albums a few years back, and it sounded like Brian Eno blew off half of his brain and indulged in a bit too much brandy before making love to a synth rig.

Yeah, I was intrigued but not impressed I guess you could say.

I think I'll give them another shot soon.

I really prefer their earlier stuff....but either way they have some fantastic songs:drool:

I prefer their early work as well. Albums such as Faith, Seventeen Seconds and Pornography are classics.

'Show' is amazing. Shows how beautiful they sound live.

I have Show and a Best of and I love them. Apparently their albums are great too. Pornography? Disintergration?

I like them, but can't say I love them. I'm not really sure why either. Although I like many of their songs, not many of them do much for me once they finish playing.
