The Cranberries!!!

Oh... My... God! I cannot believe there's not a single thread in this forum on the other major Irish band, The Cranberries! This is a U2 forum, isn't it?

Dolores is one of my favorite female vocalists ever! Her voice really shines in songs like Zombie, Linger, Dreams, Ode To My Family, Ridiculous Thoughts, When You're Gone, Promises, Animal Instinct etc. God, I used to listen to them so much thru the 90s!

Who else loves this band?

zooty you know how I feel about them.

well, I only own their first 2 albums actually, but I really like them. I know some people hate her voice, but I think it's really beautiful at times.

fav song for me is Daffodil Lament-->No Need to Argue.

I love them. And I agree- Dolores' voice can be so amazing at times. On the live dvd she's just awesome.

I have to listen to those songs you sent me...

The big question is are they going to ever record another album? With Dolores now doing a solo album and then launching who own tour in 2006, perhaps into 2007, a new Cranberries album may not come out until 2008. Last album was Wake Up And Smell The Coffee which was released on October 23, 2001.

Has anyone heard when Dolores will actually be releasing her solo album this year?

I used to listen to them quite a lot. I outgrew Vivaldi and the Crans at the same time, unfortunately. They have some nice tunes.

Awesome band, why is Ireland such a goldmine for sensational music.

Dolores vocal is bettered by only a very few other human beings....

I only own their Best Of, but hearing songs like Salvation and Free to Decide is a very nostalgic experience for me.

Brilliant band. Any news on whether they're still together or anything...

After their 3rd album, they recieved very little radio play in Australia and I didn't hear much about their 4th and 5th albums...

I think Dolores has a lovely voice and I still like their first two albums.

But they seriously write some of the worst lyrics in the known universe.
