the Cocteau Twins

Downloaded 'Lorelei' and 'Carolyn's Fingers'. It's pretty similar to Sigur Ros, I guess, dreamy soundscapes, made-up lyrics. Very nice indeed.

I'm on Soulseek now, downloading like mad. Unfortunately no one's sharing anything on Heaven Or Las Vegas at the moment.

Listening to Evangeline from the Four Calendar Cafe album...I think I can actually understand the lyrics for once! Really good stuff.

I used to listen to the Cocteau Twins fairly often. haven't done so in a while, though.

anyone know what happened to them? are they still putting out albums?

Liz Fraser was on Massive Attack's Mezzannine and they had a compilation out sometime ago, and they just re-issued all their old recordings.

I don't know how to classify them, although I've heard some people call them goth. And yes, they're pretty old-school.

She also did some work on the LOTR: FOTR soundtrack. I think.

Normal

I just read on allmusic.com that they broke up in 1999. Bummer.
