FIFTEEN songs from 1st January 2000 - 31st May 2005/present day depending on how long this thread lasts.

Yes, that means NOTHING from 31st December 1999 or before. I know how people like to TRY and include 'illicit' tracks in lists, thinking "Oh, I'm SO sorry I couldn't BEAR to not include this tune from 1998..." is going to be good enough...:wink:

I'm currently finishing my list, but someone start us off...see if you can remind me of some I've forgotten :wink:

Ive gone for a gneral top 15.....

White Stripes - Fell in love with a Girl (pure stripped down rock)

Dave Gray - Please Forgive Me (mixing drum a bass with folk with dance)

Nick Cave - Fifteen feet of Pur White Snow (raw emotion - plus i love the clip with jarvis cocker)

Radiohead - evrything in the Right Place (very futuristic/will go down as a classic)

The Killers - Mr Brightside (u2 meet durran duran meet placebo - not original but awesesome)

Outkast - Miss Jackson (was between this and hey ya for musical genius - classic)

Weezer Hash Pip - (geeki genius - great rocker)

Kylie Minoque- Cant Get You Out of My Head (pure stripped down pop)

The Flaming Lips - Do You realise? (beautiful tune)

Franj Ferdiand - Take Me Out (worldwide appeal - brought back dance rock)

The Hives - Hate to say i told ya so (raw emtion masterpiece)

The Chemical Brothers - The Golden Path - (very original quirky single from the best off- is up there with block roking beats)

Ben Lee - Cigarettes will kil You (released as a single in 2000 - great aussie classic - if yoiu havnt heard it - download it)

Chicane (featuring brian adams) - Dont Give Up - (pure dance pop gold)

U2 - well i know people wont like me for this but i pick Yahweh (spiritual u2 - its what they do best)

Yeah is latest record is a lot better that his last one,....that was released a few years ago....its like his late nineties stuff......did you hear the song Ben Lee pl;ayed on the Conan o 'Brien (late night)??? thats porbably the best on the album..it was called Catch my Disease..which takes the piss out of radio stations who wont play his music....

very underated little australian songwriter..

(3) Kelis - Caught Out There (Loud and funky)

(5) Radiohead - We Suck Young Blood (I wanted to pick something from "Hail to the Thief" and decided to settle on this)

I've heard "Catch my Disease" and like it. Will get the album soon. Loved Grandpaw Would and Breathing Tornadoes. Not impressed with the last record. Thanks for the input. :)
