Was listening to this song by Dokken the other day on the radio. Didn't know the name but really liked it. And all of a sudden I feel like making a hair metal collection. Can you guys help me put together 1 or 2 discs of the best material from bands like Poison, Skid Row, Ratt, Dokken, Cinderella, Motley Crüe and the like? :rockon:

No sappy ballads please, just rockers! ;)

You can take G n' R seriously...but Leppard? Don't get me wrong I love those guys, but they represented Hair Metal in the 80's. They totally fit as do G n' R.

And Lila - Whitesnake - Slow and Easy...:drool: Best, little known, metal song of all time!!!

Don't forget some Y&T maybe Rescue Me or Summertime Girls and some Poison - I Want Action. Quiet Riot - Metal Health (Bang Your Head), Cinderella - Last Mile or Shake me. Van Halen - Unchained :rockon:

Hey, Zootelesque. When you get the final version ( OH SHIT, son, just remembered: The Final Countdown by Europe really has to kick the whole thing off) can you post it up and/or send me a copy. I have some of those old tunes, but not so many. I used to have all those bands on tape, but got rid of them all (Faster Pussycat, Slaughter, :drool: ). Never replaced them with CDs, just a few here and there.

Oh, let's not have this awesome band classified as hair metal please.

Just saw the mindcrime 1 and 2 presentation (it was sooo much more than a concert) last week, totally amazing.

Great lyrics, great songs, incredible playing, and Tate's voice is still awesome.

Out Tommy's Tommy by miles.

Can't wait for the DVD in the spring.
