Well, England have come out firing! 101 runs for no loss thus far, Trescothick already on 51.

Bloody nice six a few balls ago, hit off Shane 'Mr Over-rated' Warne.

"Who buys U2 records anyway? It's just music for plumbers and bricklayers. Bono, what a slob. You'd think with all that climbing about he does, he'd look real fit and that. But he's real fat, y'know. Reminds me of a soddin' mountain goat."
"And as for Bono, he needs a colostomy bag for his mouth."

Spoke a little soon on the no loss count. Strauss is gone for 35. Or 36, I couldn't quite read the second number on the TV properly, but I think it was 35.

Australia's taking a hammering here. EIGHTEEN no balls in the morning session alone! What have they been doing in training?

Don't wanna jinx it, but if Australia can pull this around it is going to have to be some very, very impressive cricket. Which is what we all want to see right? (The impressive cricket, not necessarily the Aussies' win)

Wow it's one of those mornings where I'd hate to wake up living in Australia.... oh wait.

I put on my Black Caps shirt to try to fool myself into thinking I'm in a Bulawayo stand jubilantly toasting Shane Bond's awesome powers.
