The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.

(I for one don't see how they could improve on the EP version of No Cars Go), but it seems that they've all been at the very least recorded.

I had a great live recording of No Cars Go that's mysteriously disappeared, but I'll post it if it turns up.

The word on the street is that the pipe organ could be an instrument on the new album. Maybe a new mix of the song would have some of that, although I really hope it doesn't uproot the accordion...I love how it drives the melody.

Check out arcadefire.net for the latest band updates.

Boy, I can't wait for the next album. Funeral was by far my favorite album of 2004, and it still astounds me that it was only a Debut. That Arcade Fire is the most promicing new band I've heard in years, and I'm almost as excited about their next album as I am about the next U2 album...almost.

But anyway, the album seems to be coming along nicely, and the band is very excited about trying new instruments and attaining a "classic" sound. In one update they talk about figuring out how to make the drums sound like the drums in Come Together. The most exciting thing in the updates is the enthusiasm over a massive cathedral-sized organ the band has been recording.

Damn, this thing's going to be epic. I'm shaking with joy. Who's with me!?

Right on, I only got into Funeral this year.. but it's great!

True masterpiece with so much heart in it so much passion.

I will be buying the new album as soon as it comes out..

While we all await the new album, here's some more Arcade Fire goodness I stumbled into

These are absolutely the best live audio recordings of the songs I've heard to date. Apparently, they're from something called The White Sessions, a bootleg recording from a 2005 Paris performance. I'm not sure if this is the entire set, but I'll certainly take it...No Cars Go

While these are certainly the best audio versions I've heard, I've also hit the Arcade Fire concert motherload in 3-D! :combust:

Go to www.fabchannel.com, type 'Arcade Fire' in the search, and you'll be treated to an amazing show from last year. It's so good, you'll soon be petitioning the band to come to your hometown and begging your grandfather to leave his accordion and fiddle in the will.

OK, that last part probably pertains to just me
