The 4th Interference Album Listening Party. Brit-Rock Version Redux

"You know what they outa do with that Miss America Pageant? They should make the losers keep coming back until they win."- George Carlin

The Verve - A Norther Soul won the last poll.

And I'm gonna follow Uncle George's advice and make the losers come back until they win.

The 4th Interference Album Listening Party.

We decide on the record, then we all decide on an evening to listen to it together, and share our comments.

Fun! Fun! Fun!

Don't have the record? Don't worry. We'll take care of that.

Remember, virgins make any party better.

9 choices. The cream of the crop from British records released from 1990-1999.

Here are the choices:

1. The Boo Radleys- Wake Up! 1995

2. The Charlatans- Us & Us Only. 1999

3. Ned's Atomic Dustbin- Are You Normal? 1992

4. Ocean Colour Scene- Moseley Shoals. 1996

5. Ride- Nowhere. 1990

6. Suede- Dog Man Star. 1994

7. Supergrass- Supergrass. 1999

8. Teenage Fanclub- Bandwagonesque. 1991

9. The Wonder Stuff- Never Loved Elvis. 1991

The poll will close on 4/7/06.

Rock out with your cock out.

I chose the Charlatans

Though I've never actually listened to any of these albums

I'll be one of those virgins at the party

I'm torn between Suede, Supergrass and The Charlatans...

well, I hate the Supergrass cover so I won't go for them (What?! They've got to be wittled down somehow! Who says I've gotta judge them on musical talent alone? ) so Suede or The Charlatans...

Erm, I'm gonna go with Suede 'cos everyone else who has commented in the thread has voted for the other two so it ought to even things up a bit...

It's a good idea but it creeps me out! (Though I guess that's the idea...)

I don't think it's the worst album cover out of those 9.

Personally I'd give it a three way tie between Ned's Atomic Dustbin, Teenage Fanclub and The Wonderstuff. Though The Wonderstuff one does have lots of stuff to look at...

So between Ned's Atomic Dustbin and Teenage Fanclub for me.
<Isn't a fan of garish colours.

NEVER LOVED ELVIS!!!
if you've never heard 'mission drive' or 'here comes everyone' you're in for a treat.
they're the best songs here (and there's a lot of really, really amazing music here!).

c'mon, vote for the stuffies!
melody and spite, piss and vinegar...
