Maybe not. Green doesn't wanna leave LA, and he has a No Trade.

i really don't get why the dodgers would do this trade in the first place, especially in the wake of beltre signing with seattle. vasquez has proven that he can't get the job done in the clutch.... why trade away even more offense on an already weak offensive team for him? it doesn't make sense to me.

i think this deal eventually collapses and falls by the way side

Vasquez may regain form once out of the glare of Yankee Stadium, a lot of pitchers can't handle it there...the Dodgers need look no further than Jeff Weaver, he pitched pretty well for them in '04 after sucking in Yankee Stadium in '03, much like Carl Pavano will in '05.

what a disasterous offseason for the cardinals this has been. they lose renteria, can't land a big pitcher, have an 85 million dollar budget to work with and even the crappier teams like seattle, detroit and arizona can throw around way more money than they can.

to even get cabrera who isnt as good as renteria, it would cost what teh cardinals were willing to offer renteria. ok, so they still have pujols, rolen, edmonds, walker, sanders...which is a great heart of the lineup...but they don't have a middle infield, and they sure as hell better get polanco back for 2b and get somebody as a decent stop gap at ss...and get another reliever.

i wish they had infininte amount of money to spend like everyone else it seems
