Hello,

Just wondering does anybody know if Ian Thorpe has been cleared of any wrongdoing yet?? I completely believe he is clean but until his name is cleared, his reputation will be unfairly debated.

i think it's a crap allegation. testosterone isn't going to help out a swimmer like Thorpe who, if anything, is too big to begin with.

[q]IAN Thorpe's legal team has finalised the evidence it hopes will clear the retired superstar swimmer's name over drug allegations.

The Herald Sun understands the exhaustive medical process by Thorpe's legal counsel Tony O'Reilly has been completed.

Thorpe has been asked for a please-explain by the Australian Sports and Anti- Doping Authority over abnormally high levels of testosterone after a test in May last year.

O'Reilly could not be contacted last night but it is understood the last piece of medical evidence has been received from endocrinology experts.

Thorpe's manager, David Flaskas, refused to speculate on the drug allegations but said his client was coping well in trying circumstances.

"Ian is just going about his business and is filming a documentary," Flaskas said last night.

"He has received great support from so many fans and his former teammates and that has been a huge lift for him."

Thorpe's lawyer has spent the past two months gathering evidence and the star's medical records.

Hormone experts have been called in to help in Thorpe's defence and to explain that the elevated reading last May was naturally produced.

Once ASADA receives the evidence, it will decide if Thorpe will be charged with an anti-doping violation.[/q]
