I haven't read the previous threads, but did Jeff Probst do Saturday Night Live once, and played Bono in one of the skits?.....

you thought that was one of the weaker seasons?

I agree

it was the TOM show 24/7

when one team gets decimated

and the dominate player wins

with a little 'burb' along the way

it is not that exciting.

I thought it was all the little twists & turns along the way that made it exciting. Last season, imo, was the weakest I've seen (but I haven't seen all of them).

this season had more twists than any survivor before it

and more unprecedented occurences too

even jeff probst (who would know, really, don't you think) seemed to think so

Last season, imo,

they were too little
not that exciting

last year? I can't remember myself.

other weak survivors:

coby choosing Jean? for final two because it was the right thing to do:huh:

season with ethan where he told his team mates
"ok, here is what we need to do to get me in the final two"
and they all went along:huh:

the best was still the first
with hatch and the others plotting and conniving.

and jeff would not hype the show?

a blow out is not exciting

maybe you like a series that goes 4-0?

why would jeff need to hype the show at the very end of it

it was one of his final statements after the winner had already been announced

so no, i don't think he was "hyping the show"

i thought it was fantastic to watch an entire tribe be wiped out. it had never happened before in the history of survivor.

i can't really see how that's dull, sorry

it's OK if we don't agree

i do think tom is the strongest player of all

he did not have much of a mental challenge

but when he did
he had the stones to pull the trigger on that worthless Ian

i do agree that ian was worthless

which was a surprise because up until the last few shows he was playing a decent enough game

but toward the end it was like watching a train wreck

i think tom was almost everything on that team

if ian had gone to ulong and one of the others took his place Ian would have been blown out too.

last year was weaker

it all depends on the luck of the draw or pick of the contestants, i guess.

And as much as I would like to see Survivor in a cold weather place just for the 'challenge' aspect...I suspect there are many viewers who tune in each week to see great abs and other exposed body parts :shifty: that would be covered up in a cooler environment :)

Yeah i think that is one of the reasons it's never been taken to a colder climate.....

I mean sweet Elisabeth from S2 wouldn't be the same all rugged up... damn i miss her...

..and imagine Heidi from S6 and Erin from S5 NOT in bikini's...it wouldn't be the same.... would it...

Best chick in S10, in terms of "eye candy" was Steph, but she was admirable in many other senses as well.

She was a stornger player than Tom, just had bad luck
