In Voyager, a guy turns into a fucking lizard. Just another example of Brannon Braga and Rick Berman consistently messing up the Trek canon / universe.

I hate to go uber-nerd, but the first few seasons of Voyager actually dealt with how they would survive in the Delta Quadrant, the tensions among the crew, and whatnot and was really cool. Then at some point the show stopped doing it, and it became about 7 of 9's boobs (which were great btw) and the Borg and recycled Trek storyarcs.

The Doctor was a badass though.

I was hoping "Call to Arms" (5th season finale) would be on youtube, but the 6th season premiere will have to do, and it's amazing, too, especially those scenes between Dukat and Weyoun and Dukat and Kira.

Dukat is such an excellent example the more frequent kinds of evil we have in the world. He's no Hitler, but a nationalist and quite brutal, but was also more compassionate toward the Bajorans (despite being terribly colonial and racist toward them) than other Cardassians. In showing how the audience could fall in love with Dukat's kinder aspects and then showing how terrible he could be, the writers showed us something significant about human nature. Attrocities don't come from obvious evil, but those who can be very likeable to our side while terribly inhumane to others. Brilliant writing!

Dude, check out the DS9 episodes I've posted. They're easily the best things from Star Trek, and Ronald D. Moore who co-wrote "First Contact" and the TNG series finale and started out on TNG thinks so, too. He's the head writer for Battlestar Galactica. DS9 and BSG kick the crap out of most of TNG and the movies, and I enjoyed the early movies myself.

I've always found "First Contact" too action-oriented and kind of odd and cheesy in the lighter subplot.

However I've always found this to be a great action/suspense episode of DS9: "The Ship"

"City on the Edge of Forever" is probably my favorite Trek episode. Either that, or the "Best of Both Worlds" arc from TNG.

Classic Trek / Roddenberry's original vision of the show = the best. Sorry.

You know, I read and heard about City for a long time, but when I finally saw it I was like "what's the big deal?" It was a very good episode, and probably the best OS story, but I feel like I've seen at least 5 better TNG episodes.

Also, back to what Justin said on the last page, I think All Good Things... is probably the best thing under the Trek name, TV, film, whatever. Some of the best sci-fi I've ever seen. Generations just paled in comparison.

I agree Lance, that Kahn is better than First Contact, but not by much.

It's basically the very best film the OS has to offer versus the very best TNG has to offer. But Khan rules all.

Khan is the best Star Trek film. Period.

There's just something about City that gets me. I'm more of a fan of the awesome "vs. the Klingon/Romulan/Borg/Dominion" episodes in the Trek Universe, but I love that one.

I like the episode where Picard goes back to France, and stays with his brother for a while, post-Borg assimilation. I'm not saying it's a classic or anything, but I like that he eventually had a sort of catharsis.

The Enemy Within is so very fucking priceless, YLB.

The Enemy Within may be worth buying the entire original series alone.

Then there's Spock's Brain, which re-defines the Unintentional Comedy Scale.

The very end of Spock's brain, where Kirk grabs the remote and tries to shut him up is intentionally funny, the rest is unintentionally funny. Either way, the viewer wins.
