Well... Da Bomb was a welcome change from the plain vanilla of ATYCLB! So maybe thats why it was so appealing.. then again I didn't like Vertigo too much when I first heard it.

But this album... I like every song from Dani California all the way to Tell Me Baby almost instantly!

I don't know...I like this record, there are some great songs here, but...I don't know, it just doesn't seem like there are any REALLY standout songs, stuff that we'll be creating nostalgia threads about in ten years. No 'Breaking The Girl' or 'Under The Bridge' or 'I Could Have Lied' or 'Give It Away'. No 'Otherside' or 'Californication' or 'Road Trippin' or 'Around The World' or 'Scar Tissue'.

That's exactly how I feel about the new Pearl Jam record. I like it overall but still prefer songs such as Love Boat Captain, Save You, Can't Keep and I Am Mine.

On the other hand, Stadium is I think filled with brilliant songs!

I watched SNL last night and they kicked ass! I love seeing "older" bands play with as much intensity as when they were younger. And they all looked great.

Now I want to buy a ticket to go see them...

I'm not great at ranking albums, but I can say this one fits in nicely with the best. There's nothing excessively ground-breaking, but it could be the best overall stamp of who the Peppers are as a band, if that makes any sense. Overall, I love it greatly--especially the gorgeous guitar work and real melody of mid-tempo stuff...Slow Cheetah

I found this earlier...some cool performances and behind the scene stuff in their studio. Not enough new material, but still interesting to look at:

I caught them on SNL this weekend, and I'm definitely buying the CD tomorrow! Fucking awesome!!

They'll be in Vancouver in Sept.

Looks like most major stores will have this baby on sale for $11.99 tomorrow. What a steal for a double.

I haven't read this thread, it's a bit long, and I'm too busy posting Rupaul pics in IO & trying to work (but failing). I am a big Pepper fan....From what you heard, will it be worth buying?

Buy it for $11.99.

I think it's the best RHCP album.
