In a fairly close race, Streets of Fire was the second song eliminated from Darkness.

It took a long time for Candy's Room to click with me, but it finally did about a year ago. Now I love it.

Candy's Room is the only song on this album that gives me the rush all of BTR does. The rest just kind of sits there. It sounds like Springsteen, but something really weighs it down. Maybe it's just too super cereal for me.

Which is odd because I adore Nebraska. It's just juxtaposition between the music and lyrics, I think. Nebraska is stripped to the bone, while Darkness is very much in the vein of BTR.

I think it's just because the record sounds so fucking contrived, forced, and self-aware, but maybe that's just me. I'm with LM, on this one. About both this album and Nebraska.
