It will definitely survive - supposedly Reason To Believe, Night and She's The One back to back to back rocks...

I'll never forget the final MSG stand back in 2000. They did Meeting Across The River followed by Jungeland, just like the album. One of the best parts of any show I've seen.

I'm not too sure Jungleland will make many appearances this time, though.

Best Springsteen song ever.

I've yet to see them live, I'm hoping for the stadium tour to get tickets at the Linc. It was too hard at Wachovia.

Nice.

Clarence's solo is like the sax equivalent to the guitar solo in Stairway to Heaven. Pure bliss.

have fun, everybody.

My sib {hopes} yo get one tix {waiting for it v StubHub}
Bruce/E ST is to her, what U2 is to me and then they oppositely are each of our's ? 1 1/2 Ultra fave. {that is, Bruce 4 me & U2 for her}.

I thot she wasn't going to lend me anymore $ since I still her for U2 ETS . I can understaND thaT.

But THEN -
I thot that she was going to get a tix for me, WHEN she said 2 days AFTER tix dropped in NYC/NJ "...I'm sorry, I didn't get tix.... but it'll will work out...". AN apology would only be said if she tried (and included me in) & missed out first round and was going to try again.

Oh well maYBE if they return to the stadiums.....

I stood outside for the SHea show, and someone gave their extra tix and I saw 2/3rds of it! 2003?

and well I haven't had a close seaT TO them since 1978.....but been there from every E St tour from B2R onwad except "USA" & one ?of the LT/HT tours.

LMP can back me up the closeness of my old pics, sinse she saw some when we met in Sept.

(S)He's The Onnneeee! WOOT!!!

I heard 1/2 the album on Little Steven's UG.....some goooood stuff!
ANd usually what is on the album sounds as good or better LIVE!

and very interesting review Phan!

I thought the crowd was into Thundercrack at CAA-everyone seeemd pretty excited to hear it and there were definitely hands in the air for the round-n-round part, then again there were probably a lot of people there that have heard it at the Xmas shows..... I hope it stays in until Boston too!

I'm wondering when the Seaside Bar Song is going to make it's appearance-it was on the handwritten setlist for CAA but Bruce called an audible and did Waitin' on a Sunny Day instead....That would have been my moment.... http://www.brucespringsteen.net/art/...andwritten.pdf
Going to be interesting to see what the setlists looks like on the 2-night stands....
Audio from Friday is up on Dime
Hartford is already up too!

Been listening to the album nonstop since yesterday (never heard prior), at first listen I wasn't too excited with the mixing, and the vocals sound muddled, the music was okay...and then on the second listen it all unraveled. Now I cant stop listening to it, Im pretty used to the vocals now, the only song I'm not too fond of is track 2 (you'll be coming down?), the chorus sounds just like Lucky Town .

Otherwise Magic, Living in the Future, Terry's Song, Your Own Worst Enemy, LOng Way Home
are big highlights.

agreed -- "living in the future" is amazing, and i'd add that "girls in their summer clothes" is some kind of gorgeous middle-aged masterpiece.

the album is unfolding for me as well. on first listen, it was like, "yeah, it's good. fine. can't wait for the DC show." it improves with every listen (though i'm still not a fan of "radio nowhere") and i'm loving "your own worst enemy" as well.

it's sort of how i felt with U2 after "bomb." while there does seem to be a lot of self-referencing going on, i still want to pat them on the back and say, "wow, good job. this is a far, far better album than anyone could reasonably expect at this point." and it also reinforces the fact that Bruce is a prodigiously talented lyricis, yes, but also quite the melodist and sings perfectly given the limitations of his voice. he's a national treasure. we're lucky to still have him, and lucky that he still cares.

Loving this album, but I still think the mix does no justice 2 Bruce's vocals.... they're so drowned out, 4 the most part.

Listening to the Hartford show -- it's very good. Bruce really needs to come to Seattle!
