I'm making a calender-themed disc. I know, I'm weird. So far, I'm missing... 7 months! Good lord! And I'm torn between three songs for "December:

January- ???
February- "February Stars" by the Foo Fighters
March-??
April-??
May-??
June-??
July-??
August-??
September- "Wake Me Up When September Ends" by Green Day
October- "October" by U2
November- "November Rain" by Guns N' Roses
December- "Long December" by Counting Crows, "December" by Collective Sou, OR "December" by Weezer

Also...even though you have November:

Morrissey: November Spawned a Monster

Ah yes, it's been a long time since I listened to Choirgirl Hotel. It had been a long time since I listened to Tori at all until I broke out Scarlet's Walk a few days ago.

I know there are more, have been hearing this crap since I was born. :|

Sadly, I must say that I'm not familiar with any of these.

 for putting up with name games

I always get a warm happy feeling when I bust out Scarlet's Walk. :)

'cinco de mayo' by liz phair. it's a catchy little tune.

if you're stumped for march, there's always 'march of the pigs' by nine inch nails, i suppose... :hmm:

morrisey is way better than g'n'r for november.

Here are some song suggestions from my collection:

La Oreja De Van Gogh - 20 De Enero ('enero' is January in Spanish)

Lou Reed - Xmas In February

Bee Gees - First Of May

U2 - 4th Of July
Aimee Mann - 4th Of July (not a cover!)
mentioned before, but still: Bruce Springsteen - 4th Of July, Asbury Park (Sandy)

Johan - December

:hmm:

Not that much help, I fear... :|

C ya!

Marty

Hmm The Decemberists have a great, great song called July July

New Pornographers - July One

John Vanderslice has a good one called June July

But ignore those and look for the decemberists one.

March is tricky unless you want puns..

Clinic - August
Bebel Gilberto - August Day Song

Can't think of anything though. Great theme! I keep wanting to do a holiday-themed kind of thing but never get past New Year's Day and Valentine's.

April- "April Sun in Cuba" - Dragon

September- "September" - Earth Wind & Fire
October- "October" - U2
November- "November Rain" - Guns N' Roses

Which album is the Simon and Garfunkel on?

(I wish I could listen to "Scarborough Fair" right now )

April, Come She Will is from the soundtrack for The Graduate.
I  that song....

Pale September is on Tidal. Easily my favorite Fiona song.

And the Azure Ray song is called 'November.' I was listening to it earlier. :)

The Church did a song named "June." Named after one of the singer's daughters who's middle name is June. Pretty song.

And there's also "September 13" by Steve Kilbey (Sept 13 is his birthday -- making sure no one forgets it! )
