Songs that are over played

there are reasons why i dislike the radio and my company for firewalling internet radio. i am forced to listen to either silence or songs on the radio which are played over and over every 2 mins. on every station!

right now the following songs need to be locked away forever:

Clocks: yes i said Clocks. i once loved this song but enough already!

Evanescense- Save Me: i can't stand this song

Kelly Clarkson - Ms. Independent

Good Charlotte - Boys and Girls

The Atari's version of Boys of Summer.

also that horrible cover of 'don't dream it's over', but i'm biased because i think one play of that song is one play too much

i don't listen to the radio and i can tell you that the ataris are overplayed. a band has reached saturation point if even the r&b stations are playing it twice an hour

don't dream its over should have never been remade. that is one of my all time favorite songs. it is up there with Boys of Summer. those were songs i grew up with and i was upset to hear those songs redone.

I like the ataris, but I don't listen to enough new stuff to know what's overplayed so I'll go for the classic rock overplayed:

Maggie Mae, Rod Stewart
Rock and Roll Fantasy, Bad Company
Shooting Star, Bad Company
Brown Eyed Girl, Van Morrison
I've Seen All Good People- YES (with all the great songs Yes has done, why overuse this one? Play other YES!)
Turn the Page- Bob Seeger
Carry On Wayward Son- Kansas
Those 2 famous Peter Frampton songs, I can't think of the names

I used to like a lot of those before they got so old hat and overplayed.

i agree with U2Kitten and IWB on the classic rock. i can't even use the classic rock station as an alternative because they play the same songs over and over.

Eminem is overplayed as hell, to the point where it completely killed any wish in me to get his albums.
