You can't top David Bowie from 1969-1974. It's impossible.

Mimesis -- Art Imitating Life

whole album, as it's a concept thing and best listened to all the way through. I have to admit I'm especially loving the last track though (I don't have the titles yet -- don't even know if the individual songs have titles).

Unless you're David Bowie, it's 1980, and you just made Scary Monsters.

true, true.

I should've said 1969-1980

1969: Space Oddity
1970: The Man Who Sold the World
1971: Hunky Dory
1972: The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars
1973: Aladdin Sane
1974: Diamond Dogs
1975: Young Americans
1976: Station to Station
1977: Low, "Heroes"
1979: Lodger
1980: Scary Monsters

Who can top that? Seriously?

I think Dylan did top this, it's a smaller time span but I think the qualities better (I've heard 8/11 of the Bowie Cd's you listed)

1963: Freewheelin' Bob Dylan
1964: The Times They Are A-Changin'
1964: Another Side of Bob Dylan
1965: Bringing it all Back Home
1965: Highway 61 Revisited
1966: Blonde on Blonde
196?: Basement Tapes
1967: John Wesley Harding
1969: Nashville Skyline

if it weren't for self portrait I could have kept that run going into 1979 before coming on another bad CD

No Cars Go - The Arcade Fire.

I have no time for any other band right now.

Whenever it comes up on ITunes I wind up repeating it 3 or 4 times.

I agree with both Tears For Fears' Sowing The Seeds and Crowded House's Don't Dream It's Over! Beautiful songs!

Currently though, it's probably either Keep The Car Running or No Cars Go by Arcade Fire.

Enter Sandman. Been on an Arcade Fire/Muse kick for 2 weeks, then, my Ipod shuffle presented me with Enter Sandman, which I'd not heard for a while. Now I'm listening to it over and over.

Ragoo by: Kings of Leon!

It's different than any of their other songs, but so damn catchy!
