I've been very busy with downloading music and gathering old CD's and borrowing and buying new CD's!

There are some songs which were suggested here which I had never heard, and I am SO glad to have them now

So far, this is what I have compiled (some were not mentioned here, I thought I would post this with those songs too, for anyone who might be interested in a collection of their own )

Rain is falling – ELO

The Beauty of the rain - Dar Williams

can't rain all the time - Jane Siberry

Rain in the summertime - The Alarm

Purple Rain – Prince

red rain - Peter Gabriel

Summer and lightning – ELO

Summer rain – U2

Electrical Storm - U2

Lightning Crashes – Live

Let it rain - Keri Noble

Bring on the rain - Jo Dee Messina

Fire and Rain - James Taylor

Songs about rain - Gary Allen

Kentucky Rain - Elvis Presley

Who'll stop the rain – CCR

Have you ever seen the rain – CCR

November rain – Gunsnroses

Ocean Rain - Echo and the Bunnymen

Rain - The Beatles

Feels like rain - John Hiat

Rain - Patty Griffin

Let It Rain - Amanda Marshall

Kiss The Rain - Billie Myers

Listen To The Rain – Evanescence

Plainsong - The Cure

Walking in Memphis - Marc Cohn

January rain - David Grey

Blue eyes cryin in the rain - Willie Nelson

I'm still working on finding nearly as many songs as I already have

I'm certain that I'll end up with at least 2 CD's out of this. Thank you all so much for your helpful suggestions

I'll post a final playlist(s) when I have had time to gather the songs and arrange them

Once I'm done with this one, I think I'll be posting other themes, since everyone here was so helpful with this one

I'll probably even re-do the ones I've already done once before

But I think I'll just try to focus on one at a time - otherwise I'll be overwhelmed and never finish
