apparently any time i read a thread listing songs like this one or "last song heard" one of them inevitably gets stuck in my head...

Same here.

The other night I was listening to "Anybody Seen My Baby?" by the Rolling Stones...and I've got this urge to listen to that song a lot now-I really like that song.

Just had to reply about Nick Drake. If you like river man (ok, this sounds like a chessey commerical or something, but seriously) you should check out some of his other stuff too, it's amazing. 'Which Will' is my favorite.

glad to hear ...Satellite has one of my favourite guitar lines that you probably noticed yourself..in all honesty I have yet to investigate further into his releases..I really should ..I've always loved this song

River Man just has one of the most hypnotic and honest string arrangements that you will find...I would recommend giving his first album Five Leaves Left a try if you like the direction that River Man heads towards
