soulseek is good however - i cant download everything that shows up in the search and generally it takes longer to download a song on soulseek - where as on kazaa u downloaded from multiple sources - yes i could use google but i have no clue whether those programs have spyware - so thats why i asked

Ahh, yes, that IS a good point.. the only other program I've used that's similar is called iMesh, and it definitely has spyware. I'll keep an eye out though.
