My first:

Buick Skyhawk
(I'm so glad there's no Skyhawk on the album as it would have reminded me of this crappy thing)

Of course mine wasn't as all new and shiney as this one. 180,000 miles on it when I got it ( I had no choice in the matter ). One of the motors on the headlight flip thing broke and it looked like the car was always winking.
Every time it rained the belts would slip and the power steering would go out. After about 10 attempts to fix the problem, the repair shop told me not to bother coming back. The thing finally blew a head gasket and I somehow managed to sell it for $300. Those were crappy days...

1973 Buick Century, dark yellow with a brown vinyl top
It was nicknamed "The Beast". I had it when I was in high school living in Alabama. I had to go start it and let it run for 15 to 20 minutes before I went anywhere in the morning or it would stall out on me. Remember, this was AL, it wasnt even cold!!! LOL

I've never owned a car because I can't drive.

But I'll take care of that very very soon

I really really didn't want to sell it but I needed the money to fund my RTW trip a couple of years ago.

My second car was a boring Ford that looked like this one:

Beautiful work on the bug! Too bad you had to give it up! I like the Ford - I don't think we have that model around these parts.

If anyone can pull up a photo of a 1959 Ford Fairlane bearing CA license plate ELS213, that's mine...

In college I used to ride a crappy old three-speed bicycle with wire basket in front. I didn't have a car, so it came in handy when I had to go anywhere off campus, such as to the store.

My first car was a 1972 Plymouth Satellite Sebring Plus. I bought it off my parents for $250. I was a very very very fast car. I ended up selling her for $500 when I couldn't afford the gas or insurance

One of my favourite B-52's songs 'Planet Claire':

She came from Planet Claire
I knew she came from there
She drove a Plymouth Satellite
Faster than the speed of light

1979 Caprice station wagon, very ugly, gray, black and rusty, no headliner, horrid cracked red interior, made a flubbflubbflubb noise everywhere I went. I used to haul my kids around in this thing .When it finally passed away were were stuck at a gas station and had to be towed home. It was sent to the junkyard and I didn't even get any money for it

This was my first ride which was handed down to me. Mine was gold. It actually ran pretty good. Only the window handles would break off and the muffler had to clamp up because the welds were shotty.

My current and only is a red 1989 Holden Camira. I'm on my second motor.

The front passenger side corner is held together by the same 100mile an hour tape [I don't know what it's called, that's just what we call it!] they use on the V8 Supercars like if they've had a bit of a prang during a race and need to have their spoiler taped to the car or something so they can get back out there racing.

It's a little embarrassing, really.
