So what did you acheive in 2007?

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
:hmm:

- Popped "the" question

- Traveled a crapload for pleasure and for work :down:

- Got to be the first person to touch the Super Bowl trophy after it landed in Indianapolis

- Saw A LOT of baseball games including my first visit to Fenway

- Saw Arcade Fire (I figured all the cool kids listed it)

- Hung out with a lot of cool interferencers (in Vegas, NYC, Chicago - is this an accomplishment?)

I wrote just about my entire 285 page dissertation (a novel) in January through April.

I defended my dissertation and received my PhD in May.

After a bleak summer of looking like I was going to have to work for peanuts as an adjunct, I got a great one-year teaching offer in August and am now an assistant professor at a school I really like.

I survived mono in September through November

I got out of my hellhole former apartment and am in a much nicer place now.

I'm still a work in progress, but I'm trying to be happier with myself.

Wow--that's a lot more than I realized. Lots of big changes, but I think I've gotten through most of them pretty well.

I don't know.

Moved to Chicago.

Helped launch a new Television Network.

Bought all new furniture after accumulating all sorts of odd pieces over the past 12 years.

Got a series launched at my old network that took a lot of planning and convincing. A series near and dear to me.

Beyond that, a lot of little things, but, moving and launching the network represents enoough big things for one year, I think.

Not sad or happy to see 2007 end, no excitement or trepidation pertaining to 2008.

Made some new good friends.

Got inducted into my school's Thespian Troupe and NHS.

Wrote an actual produced script (for my school, but still, I'm excited)

I'm about 3-4 days away from asking a girl out I've been meaning to ask for a while... a huge accomplishment.

Learned how to drive.

Hopefully I can carry some momentum into '08 and not implode, who knows?

Thanks, that kind of thing always makes me really nervous... and usually ends with some type of rejection.

I'm kinda like George McFly that way.

I've been thinking of finally asking out a guy I've been interested in for awhile. I'm usually the old-fashioned wait to be asked out type, but I feel like I need to be the one to make the move this time.

So add probably getting rejected to my list

Doubtful.

Good luck with that, and bravo for taking matters into your own hands.

Fortune favors the bold.

Good for you. I miss that giddy/dizzy feeling you get when you really, really like someone and are about to dive in. Haven't had that in ages, but I handle rejection better than I used to, so now would be a good time for me to get back on the scene.

It's all good. I avoid Phx like the plague anyway.

I didn't mean it like you'd come stalking me....just maybe someone else that's reading this!

Why do you avoid Phoenix? I've heard nothing but wonderful things about the place. Especially from my family that lives there.
