Snow Patrol's Run is one of the greatest songs on the new century

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.

Folks if you do not think this is as good as -
Coldplay's Clocks
or
U2's Streets Have No Name,
I cannot help you.

I'll sing it one last time for you
Then we really have to go
You've been the only thing that's right
In all I've done

And I can barely look at you
But every single time I do
I know we'll make it anywhere
Away from here

Light up, light up
As if you have a choice
Even if you cannot hear my voice
I'll be right beside you dear

Louder louder
And we'll run for our lives
I can hardly speak I understand
Why you can't raise your voice to say

To think I might not see those eyes
Makes it so hard not to cry
And as we say our long goodbye
I nearly do

Light up...

Slower slower
We don't have time for that
All I want is to find an easier way
To get out of our little heads

Have heart my dear
We're bound to be afraid
Even if it's just for a few days
Making up for all this mess

Great, yes.

As good as Streets or Clocks, I personally dont find it THAT good. Still, good none the less.

It does pass the 'goosebump' test.:larry:

if u do not get the chills, have your hair stand on ends while listening to this, than either you are-
a corpse or a cadaver living in a musically removed remote cave in outer Siberia:wink:

Its a great song, but the album itself has yet to win me over.

agree, Run is brilliant (not as good as streets), but a great tune. Also Like "how to be dead", but most of the rest hasnt really grown on me yet. Will Keep trying.

It grew on me as a whole recently, I liked Run, Final Straw (I can't bring myself to call it Chocolate), Spitting Games and How To Be Dead, but I've now got a good understanding of the first 9 songs straight and I'm working on the rest.

Run is my favorite non-U2 track from last year -- it's better than anything Coldplay's ever done in my opinion, and I like Coldplay alot. The mood of the song and the music and they lyrics all fit together to make an epic song. It's subject matter reminds me of a more hopeful and grand Last Kiss. Thank you for making this thread!!!

I just can't bring myself to saying it is better than "Trouble" or "Scientist" though. ahh...who cares? Their all amazing.

i think run is awesome and i think final straw is also awesome, pretty much end to end. I do not find it as good as streets, though, but then there are few songs that i feel are that good

i think i did a decent job.
even got a pat on the back from a fellow in the mens room.

hope he didnt have an agenda:angry:
