set the limit for 16 teams (the amount we had in football)

questions...

rotisserie, points only or head to head?

live draft or autopick?

any problems with the scoring options, let me know and i'll change 'em... went with just the defaults for now.

trade deadline is july 31st... same as the real MLB trade deadline.

season starts on april 3rd... same as the first game of the season (red sox vs. yankees... gee... baseball's not gonna try to run that thing into the ground are they?)

start signing up people... got a month and a half to do so.

With baseball you gotta do points
Live draft will be too difficult to get everyone on board for

agreed with the points... live draft i think we could try... the way yahoo live drafts work, if you can't be there, the computer simply autodrafts your picks based upon your set pre-rankings.

thus then... it's the best of both worlds. it's a live draft AND an autopick.

i like it.

didn't i suggest a live draft for football and got jumped on?

either way i still would like a live draft. and points over rotissiare. head to head works best for football, worst for baseball.

everybody just come to my house and we can do an offline draft

I'm in. Whatever rules you guys decide on is fine with me.

Oh, in case anyone forgot I am the defending champ.

I'm in, I think a live draft is the way to go btw.
head to head is always the best imo but i dont really care about that. I just dont want to autodraft.

LETS DO IT!!!!!

when shall this live draft be?

clearly i need to revolve my entire life schedule around this event, so the sooner i know the quicker i can start cancelling my life

dont remind me... you took first on like the last day of the year

are we looking into doing it on a weekend or weekday? either is fine for me, but I say we do it during the day, that would be easier for me cause i can do it at work. if it has to be at night, i can make arrangements though.

during the day would be fairly awful for me towards the middle of march because of baseball for myself. any time during the day prior to march 15 should be do-able for me though. if i cant make it anyway id just pre rank but id much prefer to be there if possible

the live draft will be sometime between the 20th and the 24th of March... that still gives anyone who wants to sign up plenty of time, while still giving enough time post-draft to make initial signings, drops and trades before the season.

so let me know when's good for you people... daytime or evening? weekday or weekend?

For me it would be best weekday, say noon easternish.
If that doesn't work for you, just give me the following lineup:
SP: Johann Santana
SP: Randy Johnson
SP: Tim Hudson
RP: Greg Gagne
RP: Mariano Rivera
RP: Keith Foulke
1B: Albert PooHoles
2B: Alfonso Soriano
SS: Edgar Renteria
3B: Alex Roid Riguez
C: Ivan Roid Riguez
OF: Money Ramirez
OF: Carlos Belt Tran
OF: Barry Bonds

I'll fill in the bench later

wtf??

I may not make the evening weekday draft because your evenings are my afternoons on the west coast. I'm down for weekdays but after 8pm pacific or early weekend mornings. But that's just my preference. I may be able to do it from work if it's after 5pm.
