Definitely not. We all know what Chris Martin has blabbed on about. I was genuinely curious if Eno has said much. I don't think I've seen anything.

You must be up to New Years End.
Yes - wow, New Years End is fantastic, the best song so far. I am very impressed. Now Darkfall is starting.

"Who buys U2 records anyway? It's just music for plumbers and bricklayers. Bono, what a slob. You'd think with all that climbing about he does, he'd look real fit and that. But he's real fat, y'know. Reminds me of a soddin' mountain goat."
"And as for Bono, he needs a colostomy bag for his mouth."

Darkfall is a short, quiet piece.

I love the closer, Beyond The Dying Light.

Oh, OK. Sorry.

It's funny, but based on reports I've come across, Brian Eno had less to do with the making of the album than some may have thought. Of course, Eno isn't really the kind of guy to live in a studio with a band, but it sort of explains why he isn't fervently flogging this thing like Lanois is the U2 album.

We should have a "Contributor of the Most Ridiculous, Inaccurate Hype" stakes for the new U2 album.

Bono is currently odds-on favourite at 2 to 1. Closely followed by Lanois at 3 to 1. Edge is presently trailing at 7 to 1, Larry is at FOAD to 1, and Adam is too busy playing with spoons.

Yeah, there were two other producers in the credits. It sounds like Eno was merely a consultant to this more than anything else.

Unless its name is The Unforgettable Fire, in which case it should really be Brian Eno featuring U2.

Afternoon, PFan.

phanan, Darkfall passed without much notice from me, but Tempus Horizon is quality. Judging by its length, I'm guessing Lateral Noise, which I'm about to start, is just another atmospheric transition piece.

I'm going for A Storm in Heaven tonight. I still haven't listened to it actively.

Correct. There's not much to the shorter pieces, but I think they play their part well in connecting the longer songs.

Gotta step away for a few to clean the damn dishes.

I had to make a run to the store, and it looks like tonight I'll be baking a cake. Damn national holidays and last minute cook-outs

Looks like those dishes aren't in for much love.

And I'm looking forward to your thoughts on A Storm In Heaven. How familiar are you with shoegaze?

Yeah, agreed. They're definitely helping to make the album seem more cohesive.

I'm loving Beyond The Dying Light. Oh, and it's finished. Great closer. Now I think I need to play New Years End again.
