i still don't know if i love or hate kid a's production.

and i mean that in terms of it being too quiet. i love how cold it is... but songs like the national anthem and idioteque could have been even more chaotic... like their live performances indicate.

I think the songs you mentioned work in the context of the entire album, but had to be more chaotic to work live as standalone songs.
