I just looked, they actually have a snow flake for Monday on the long range forecast. Not quite spring yet.

OK, now they just showed the local weather on TV and they have 60 degrees for Monday. Weatherman, what a job, get paid for being right about 30 to 40% of the time.

On another note, they reminded us that its daylight savings time Saturday. The bad one, the leap forward an hour. Which means losing an hour of sleep.

You can share your 60 degrees, though.

It's the shortest weekend of the year.

On of our non-sexy weathermen have what they call the 3 degree guarantee where they have something going that they will be correct with 3 degrees either way.

What if it's a difference 5 degrees? Or 20? Can you really guarantee something that really cannot be accurately predicted? What does the consumer get in the event of false advertising?

*Warning: More skating stuff*

The juvenile-level synchro team from my club was featured in Skating magazine this month.

I knew one of these girls before she was born...her mom was on the 1995-season adult synchro team when she found out she was pregnant. I'm having trouble believing that more than a decade has gone by.

I'm assuming the guarantee is made the night before. Its those long range forecasts that are ridiculous. They have no clue what its going to be doing 3 or 4 days from now. Sometimes I think they put some weather conditions on a dart board, blind fold themselves and throw. Whatever it hits is the long range forecast.

Our main weatherman gets all excited when its going to be nasty and likes to rub it in. "Hope you didnt have outdoor plans this weekend!" All excited and happy about it. I guess they live for crappy weather and are at their happiest when its crappy.
